Suzanne Adams has been the Director of the FPA since 1992. Born and raised in New York City, Suzanne graduated from Cornell University and earned a Masters Degree from Columbia University in English Literature.
During her first year with the FPA, the Scholarship Fund was established and Suzanne has helped that program develop into a major source of recognition for foreign graduate students of journalism.
Suzanne is the widow of Maurice Adams, who served for many years as the bureau chief of the Sydney Morning Herald. Maurice was the President of the FPA for 2 years in the 1980′s.
Suzanne is the proud Mother of two sons and two daughters and is Granny to a bevy of grandchildren.
